Which group pays more in taxes? The bottom 5% or the top 5%?
Then again, I guess you're OK with the government stealing 50% of a person's income.

Tell it to your democrats. Why not tax everyone on a consumption tax - you only pay taxes on what you consume. You buy a yacht, you pay a tax on it. I buy a canoe, I pay a tax on it. Both at the same rate. Joe decides not to buy a newer bass boat, he in essence pockets the tax. Now that's FAIR! </div></div>
Hey they finally got lights where you live! What I been saying alllllll along! Income 3%, stocks and bonds 3% , no deductions for kids , great tax base. No increase for freebies after the 2nd kid. PS, they ain't mine (Dems, that is)- I just weren't stupid enough to vote for a man that couldn't run an oil company. Show me a Rep that don't kiss up to the oil , and now nuke biz or owe a debt to his daddy and want to forget the guy that bombed us and "get" somebody else, and they might get my vote. You said could out research me, look up the Bush family and put it on here- you ain't got the guts. Grandad loaned money to the Nazis and had his bank locked down, 1st I don't wanna talk about, you find him when the Iran hostages were released, and check Arbusto Oil and trace the contracts and buy-outs that the 2nd got.

They take 28% fed out of mine and I struggle. The top 5% pays almost nothing, tax shelters. Just the same if you make 100,000 -28,000 -10% sales then the state who do you think suffers? The guy that gives up half of a mil or the one that gives up half of 50,000? And last I checked, 'less it's those consolidated schools you went to, 5% shouldn't be able to out-vote 95% unless most of you all are too dumb to see the truth. Just make sure you pay into my SS.
Re: Clinton Proposes 401(k)s, Matching Funds
percentage is percentage. If you want more, work harder, go back to school, start your own business...but please cease from whining about those who have worked to get ahead. Damn, the incessant whine of the liberals is killing me.
Re: Clinton Proposes 401(k)s, Matching Funds
Here is a link to 2001 for Bush, AGI 894,800, 150,000 of itemized and of almost 900,000 he pays 240,000, less than the 28% . Why shouldn't it keep going up like the lower brackets?

I'm sure Clinton isn't far behind.

Didn't ask you not to reply, just cease from whining. Incessant whining gets old when you rarely make a point. BTW, your kind want us free thinkers to be quiet - makes your duty of deceiving others easier. lol

Re: Clinton Proposes 401(k)s, Matching Funds
Free thinker, yes. Liberal, no way in hell. In fact, there is no way one can be both liberal and free thinker. Liberal "thinking" is controlled by the minions of thought control - they tell you what to think, and one is ignorant enough to oblige.
